Never give out any personal information about your
family, or yourself with out your parent’s
permission! This includes:

parent’s telephone number and address at work
Report any pictures, or language you find on a web
site to your parents, or teacher that makes you feel
uncomfortable.
Never send pictures of yourself, or your family,
unless you have the permission of your parents.
Remember you do not have the authority to send
pictures of other people.
Understand that some people online pretend to be
someone else. Sometimes they pretend to be kids,
when they are really grownups.
Never agree to meet someone in person that you have
met online.
Use only web sites selected or approved by your
teachers and parents. Refer to the library web page
(www.buckleycountryday.org/library)
for safe search engines.
Do not fill out any forms online to play games, or
order anything unless you check with your parents
first.
Do not give your password to anyone (even your best
friend) other than your parents.
Do not open e-mail messages if you do not know the
sender. These files could be infected with a virus.
Do not use information you found online and pretend
it is yours.
Be careful, not everything online is true.
Remember it is a crime to make threats online.
You are responsible for your behavior when using the
Internet. Do not use offensive language, say bad
things about other people, and always practice good
